Finding Good Deals

Are you in need of furniture? Clothing? Household items? Don't forget to check out thrift and second-hand stores. You can find all sorts of great bargains, at amazing prices. Clothing often still has tags attached, and often there are one of a kind items that you can't buy in stores.

I bought this painting for $10 at Goodwill, and the lovely side table for $6 at Value Village.

Be sure to go early in the day (morning is best) to get the items before they've been picked over. Remember, one man's junk is another man's treasure!

I love going to second hand stores. In cambridge there's a store called The Garment District. On the weekends I used to go to Dollar Pound. Great clothes for a dollar a bag. The bags are extremely large, they also have toys and shoes. Most of the clothes are donated by the wealthy so the items are good quality. I haven't been there in a couple of years.
